Giving is such a word. I always felt the need to give and the urge to help someone in need. I appreciate receiving, but to give is a much more joyful thing. Trying to find time, treating someone for a good cup of coffee-tea-or food, and having something for someone during birthdays or ordinary days is such a thing for me. Sometimes I do it, sometimes I don’t. Eh. I am not a consistent giver and I failed in giving most of the time.
And for this coming days and for 2017, I choose to give more than I have to. This is a great chance to exercise our giving.
The point is this: whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. Each one of us must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that having all the sufficiency in all things at all times, you may abound in every good work. 2 Corinthians 9:6-8
My work is a blessing, indeed. I get to talk to people, I get to make good coffee and food, 5 days of work per week, and it is a not so stressful workplace minus the traffic. What is more fun is that our company is passionate about giving and helping all the foundations that they have partnered with.
During my recent day-off, I treated my siblings for coffee at my previous workplace.
I also did this for my stamp card, for my 2017 Giving Journal, and of course– for Real Life Foundation. Real Life Foundation helped a lot of scholars through the years and I am a witness of how great this foundation is. This made me more excited to help our company support those scholars to send them to school.
This advocacy runs until January 8 2017.
Hoping that this will extend a word for everyone who will read this post. Bonding and giving is a fun thing to do! You can do this with your friends too and start your #GivingJourney2017 together.
Share your giving journey too!
