Question and Answer.

Question:

“With all the foul language cluttering TV, movies and music, how should the Christian react? I know it’s wrong to take the name of God in vain but what about earthly expressions?”

Answer:

“But now you also, put them all aside: anger, wrath, malice, slander, and abusive speech from your mouth.”– Colossians 3:8 (New American Standard Bible)

“Let no unwholesome word proceed from your mouth, but only such a word as is good for edification according to the need of the moment, so that it will give grace to those who hear.”– Ephesians 4:29 (New American Standard Bible)

Words are tools of communication. It’s interesting that people are more scrupulous about their keeping their garden tools or kitchen utensils clean. Jesus had a great deal to say about our speech and how it affects us and our relationship with God and other people.
